excellent job...

it looks like you have started the new year off on the right foot. awesome job on the 5k--i must say it sounds like you are a far better runner than i am. but there is always hope for the future, maybe if you were ever to come out here and run the hills with me things would be different.

i must admit i slept through my first scheduled run of the new year, that would be on jan 1. i have started to add some strength training back into my routine and i am trying to incorporate a weight routine into my winter/ spring training...but that is no substitute for the actual miles that need to be put in. the plan is to get out on saturday and hit the trails by my house.

also, i am looking at possibly doing a 1/2 in early march, so i will need to do some running or it will just be doing a really long training run. i am also looking at doing the 1/2 (or 10k) portion of the North Face Endurance Series when it makes its way to seattle in May. i need to makes some plans otherwise i will live in the land of maybes all year long.

check in on sunday to see if i followed through.
